I built this level using Unreal Engine 5. It takes heavy inspiration from Half-Life and Half-Life 2. I focused on the level layouts and environmental puzzles. I made a grab and move mechanic so players can interact with the world. I also added a CCTV system that tracks the player to keep them engaged. The project earned a grade of 95 out of 100.
The main challenge was making it feel like a real Half-Life level. I had to work hard to get the pacing and the scale correct. It was a big task to balance the size of the rooms with the flow of the puzzles so the gameplay felt right.
